Unalaska Upgrades

Unalaska, AK – Alaska’s commercial fishing fleet faces some of the most rugged weather in the world.  Unalaska ranks second on the list of the top 101 cities with the highest average wind speeds, up to 60-knots, 30-ft waves, and 250 days of rain each year making construction a challenge, which is no exception for construction of a new boat harbor.

The Carl E. Moses Boat Harbor consisted of an inner harbor, uplands improvements, and floating breakwater to support the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands fishing fleets. Pacific Pile & Marine performed the project as a design-build team with PND Engineers, Inc. Click here to read full article.
