Port Orchard, WA – Pacific Pile & Marine (PPM) successfully pulled a wrecked houseboat out of the water near Port Orchard’s Railroad Marina. PPM was assisted by a four-man crew from Ballard Diving & Salvage.
A preliminary inspection of the wreck identified multiple holes punctured on one of the pontoons believed to have been damaged during high winds battering the boat into pilings. Crews patched the holes using an underwater sealant and pumped the water.
Crews attached safety lines to the boat to prevent it from rolling over and ran lifting straps underneath the boat. A 110-ton crane, operated by PPM. The 32-ton houseboat was towed away for disposal. Click here to read full article.
