Major redevelopment and expansion of the DCI Shipyard. Phase I included demolition and removal of 24,000 SF of dock including 1,000 creosote treated pile, 250-ft of abandoned marine railway, buildings and utilities. Approx. 36,000 CY of contaminated and 105,000 CY of non-contaminated sediments were cleaned up and removed. A portion of new deep-water berthing space was built to allow the existing dry-dock to be moved. Phase II consisted of constructing a 370-ft heavy-load pier utilizing SPIN FIN® pile technology and ballast deck system.
