Contracted to furnish and install floating breakwaters to complete the Carl E. Moses Harbor in Unalaska. Included two concrete floating breakwaters, one 476-ft long the other 804-ft long.
Breakwaters were designed to enclose the new harbor. Floating breakwaters were constructed in Tacoma, WA in 98-foot long modules and towed across the Gulf of Alaska. Towing efforts required strong logistically planning. Floating breakwaters were moored using stud-link anchor chain and 40-ton concrete anchor blocks.
